I haven't written anything here in a year because we've been up and down, back and forth .. in between being happy and wanting to puke. Our van got destroyed, we barely wrote/played music ... not having a way to get around to shows is debilitating and soul crushing. We didn't want to settle on a van that would just reduce our spirits AGAIN, so it took us many months to get a new one. so we did and couldn't be happier

Could weeks ago we played the Dude Ranch's final show. If you had never heard of it/been there, it was a punk rock bro-house in London home to bands Stay Home and Dinner Time and some really nice/passionate guys. We played there a bunch and it was always, always a great time. It made going to London fun again. So we were sad to see it go but it was a really fun night - Radio Delete played a set of all Face to Face covers, and the Snips did Weezer and Turbonegro and possibly more. We didn't do any covers because we didn't get the memo and we're full of ourselves and we hate fun. Statues were amazing as always, even though they played last and there were a lot of empty beer cans around. I don't know how they do it.
Speaking of beer cans, I had a hell of a birthday. So great in fact, I wrecked one of my favorite guitars because I'm an idiot. While hilarious at the time (and the video is even more embarassing/funny) the more time passes, the less funny this is and the more bummed about it I get. I hate that finish, but it's a Greco knockoff of a les paul custom that sounded virtually Identical to a real 1977' les paul (a bit brighter because it's chambered)
Only other thing worth mentioning is the peanut-butter noodles I made in ottawa. We drank some expensive Quebec beer that seems to taste exactly like every other quebec beer: belgian. I love our funny french brothers and sisters but I don't get their obsession with sweet beers.
