And in english:
This Month's Rent is the first album from THE DECAY. When I heard, I immediately was hooked. The first two songs, Humble Beginnings and These Days, immediately capture your attention. Interest continues until the instrumental piece Winterlude, it stalls a little because it resembles another short instrumental piece earlier on the album. Fortunately, the rest of the disc is just as captivating as the first part, if not better. Interestingly, the album is downloadable for free via Juice Box and if you wish, you are also invited to donate for CHGlobal who come to the aid of Haiti.
The song that I believe stands out most is called I'm Moving To BC. It is composed with a more of a folk which relates very well with the style of punk / rock. One of the few weaknesses of this album is that the final product is somewhat homogeneous. This does not detract, however from its quality. The texts are mostly inspired by life in general and I think a little diversity would not hurt. So I was a little disappointed about this point. But, you can really feel the energy of the group in each piece, and I think that is what he wanted. After each listening, I wanted I wanted to be back in the pit of a punk show!
. To conclude, I think the group managed to make a great album that I highly recommend and I hope to see them in concert in Montreal soon as it they are as good in concert as on this album, I believe a bright future is waiting for them.
